AnaCredit means analytical credit data set. It is a reporting project launched by the ECB and collects granular data (i.e., data at the transaction level) on credits (and the associated credit risk) issued by financial institutions. Although defined at the European level, local authorities can extend the required data set and amend the reporting frequency. The National Bank of Belgium is one of the national reporting authorities which has extended the scope of AnaCredit, as the target reporting framework, since it should also replace existing credit registers. The system is called BECRIS. The client needed to update its reporting process for BECRIS and to create datasets
